Hi Boys,

Just rebuilding my front subframe and have a new engine that will be a turbo which will be fitted into it which i have been building up. My question is regarding the turbo vented discs. Do i need to change the flanges to fit the turbo vented discs?

I'd suggest only fitting the vented discs if you car is one of the following;

1) heavy ... as in full road weight with leather, big ice, etc.

2) driven very hard in short bursts between big stops (running from the cops in Milton Keynes or short race circuits spring to mind)

The problem is getting them up to temperature to get the best from "sports" pads. They are also a damn sight heavier .... not good for unsprung mass thus not good for handling!!!

If you don't have a break fade issue then don't fit them IMHO (and yes I have run cars both with vented and solid 4 pots for diffrent uses)

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...
