I don't think that the elbow will fit on anything other than a T3. So you're stuck with that if you want to use it.

A T25 will fit on the metro manifold with a bit of work as will the T2, not sure about the T28. A G 17 will also fit on the metro manifold.

A T4 will not be suitable it's way too big, and neither will a T28 as far as I can tell from maps easily available on the net.

I don't think it's a secret that The DON and Jims car use T25s. which ones though is a different story.

got a small T25 on mine, could do with a better matched one though cos this one runs out of puff over 15psi at the top end.

IMO, a GT28 could make a very interesting choice.

But the likes of some of the smaller GT22 units would probably be better all round.

I know budget always plays a part....

But IMO, spending money on a wisely chosen modern turbocharger, is money very wisely spent. yes, there are cheap options out there too, but the older T-series units are...well....poo.
But yes, they can still give decent results.

The reason there are other engines out there making vast amounts of power...is largely down to using stonking big modern turbos !!! And a lot arent as laggy as some might think.

If buying new, they will be easy to obtain. If you seek second hand, perhaps it might get harder to find one.

But it is worth spending the money to select the right turbocharger. So why not just buy new ?

If you compare engines of old, that maybe made say 1.5x the n/a output, with a horrible laggy turbo, to modern engines, that can make 2-3x the n/a output, with a very fast spooling turbo, that goes some way to describing how things have moved on.

Then modern diesels are testament to how good turbos are now, especially in VNT format

that will be a physiacaqlly big bugger, I doubt it will fit down the back of the engine even with one of Milamber's deep bulkhead box's.

Here's a pick of a GT25V on my engine...

well, he's ok, as he's got a 7-port head!

But otherwise, you'd just plonk the carb off to the side
