thinkauto sell the thermostats for 92degrees which is apparently the perfect temp for oil (performance wise) "Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

92 deg C is much more like it. In normal OEM set ups they aim at the 105 - 110 deg C ish bracket to boil off any water, light oil fractions (such as petrol) and impuraties in the oil to extend service intervals.

It's not on the motorway it gets hot .... it's when you suddenly come to a stop and sit there without moving for several hours ...... in London they call it the rush hour .... like it's only an hour ..LOL Every day is a school day ...........

it was running quite hot, but i think it was due to it breathing very heavily and only having the one breather from the transfer case! next job on the list is to do all that, it performed alright yesterday at coombe tho! |
