flip fronts from plmini??

hi

just wondering weather anyone on here has bought fibreglass front ends (2 piece ones) from www.plmini.com?

if so were they any good for fitment etc?

Well it looks like they are using the pics from ABS Motorsport so I assume they are a reseller for ABS.

To my mind that means 2 things;

1) Likely to be more expensive than buying directly
2) You might not get as good a service as going direct to ABS.

IMHO ABS are run by some of the best folk you'll ever deal with, certainly as far as GRP bits are concerned. I've just ordered a full kit and bonnet from them. The bonnet is a bit different from the norm and the kit doesn't even officially exist. They took 7 days to turn both around, did the bonnet twice as they weren't happy with the first and didn't call me to arrange payment until they had packed the parts ready to ship.

Guess who I'd recomend you go to!!

well iv just bought a flip front off of ebay which the bloke said it was from plminis. it looks good to me so im happy.
he was only 30mins if that down the road so i just went to have a look for my self. got the hinges and the brace bars aswell with it as well as the fg bonnet! nver been fitted still all in its origonal box.

im not going to use the hinges as i just want to make it removable rather than a flip front as it would be easier to work on with it out the way imo.

has anyone got any pics of how they have fitted theres? ill do a seach in a bit but just thought i would ask while im on topic! lol

Neil, it is the kit your thinking off ..... thanks for your help with it's ID. I have got as far as unpacking it and doing a test fit of the rear arches ...... It fits great and looks a million dollars!!! As soon as I get chance I'll be back to the body work .... super motivated now.

Rob, yes and no .... we did get the kit out of Germany and then ABS promptly modded it and made a nice new mould.

It is almost too good to fit .... if it ever get damaged I will probably blub like a baby for weeks!!!
