I have a 45 webber. i am now looking at put vacum pipes into the mainfold. Can anyone advise what size the holes and pipes should be. Has anyone got any pics with this done.

it also says on autolabs i need a reservoir..do i need this?

Hi,

What are you using the vacuum pipe for, MAP sensor on a MJ maybe?

4 or 5mm would both do the job fine, get your unions to screw into the manifold first then get pipe to suit.

Although if it is for MJ then a TPS would be better on a Weber for NA use.

Thanks Tom, i am taling about TPS but what do you mean by NA use?

NA = Normally Aspirated e.g. no turbo.

Philc, If you put in tubes with a 3mm bore into each leg of the manifold and pipe these to a T piece followed by a Mig 0.6 nozzle stuffed into the pipe and then lead it through an in line fuel filter.
This will bive you the best chance of running a MAP set up.
If you have a hot cam with the 45 DCOE you will probably finish up with a TPS set up as Tom said but it might be worth trying the above first as you will get better economy if you can make it work.
