Well, having lurked for some while, I thought I should get round to joining in.

I am running an A series from an MG Midget in a Westfield XI so please don't kick me out for not being a Mini:( At the moment it is pretty standard apart from the Megajolt ignition management but I do have an M45 just lying round in the garage. Unfortunately for me most of the off the shelf blower conversion kits would not fit under my bonnet. (and no I wouldn't put a bulge in to fit!) I have ordered a couple of inlet flanges but will need to fabricate my own manifold. As an aid to setting the whole thing up I have made a 20 led air/fuel meter and audible knock intensity meter, this just requires final wiring and testing and we are away.

I would have loved to go 8 port to make the whole fuel injection thing easier but the BMW K heads are far too tall for my engine bay and the others seem very expensive. Of course there is always the 7 port option but I think I'll just have to stick to the blower for the short term.

Be seeing you

Matthew

The lotus 11 is one of my favourite all time cars and for a modern replica your 1275 motor is an ideal combination with the westy kit.
keep us posted on your progress

I like nice quiet girly Minis

I need a pic .... such loverly cars, very very pretty. Quite effective at producing a grin on the drivers face if the one that I drove years back was anything to go by.

As Benross said, doesn't matter what it's in. There are Metro's, Spridgets and Mini based kits on here already why the hell not something even more exotic.

That said, some of the lads might need a pic to know what the hell your talking about.........

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...
