Can anyone see any down sides to increasing the calliper bolts from 3/8th UNF to 7/16th UNF? Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

Well, the problem would be that the "ear" on the caliper would be weakened. The same goes for the "ears" on the upright. Why on earth would you want to do this? On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

The ears are pretty chunky so I don't think enlarging the holes by 1/16th inch will hurt too much, what do you reckon?
