are the over all dimensions the same on a twin bolt subby and a single bolt subby? in particular the gap inbetween towers, in my hast i for got to make a bar to go in between the towers and chopped a bit out of the middle/back on my toyota conversion and it seems the towers have moved in a bit so the only subby ive got to measure is the later one.

cheers.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

I would think theyre idententical, only difference i can think of is the bulge at the front with the later ones.

I would not go with think in this situation, maybe someone can measure? I can possibly do a measurement from inner bolt to inner bolt on a twin bolt subby tonight. Otherwise, could you bolt it to the car and weld a bar on maybe?

I am sure they are identical; that is the centre of the towers on twin and single bolt frames.
I wouldn't guarantee that the pressings used for the 'towers' is the same however - these would no doubt vary between each frame.

The distance C/L to C/L of the bolts on a late single bolt subframe is 30 & 1/4 ".
I no longer have an early twin stud to measure.
