mini owners in west mids, dyno day pls read

hi all

basically, im trying to organise a rolling road day and get one of the mags involved, have about 8 cars so far from the black country minis fun club, need a few more to get involved to get the mags interested (12 car minimum for mini mag, dunno bout miniworld)

have a good mix of cars so far from boggo 1 litres through to 1275 turbos so should be interesting

venue to be confirmed, probably hi tech in cradley or aldon in brierly hill, although im open to suggestions if anyone has other ideas! no date fixed yet as im waiting to get more interest

spoke to hi tech today, they said it would be power runs only, not setups as they would take way to long

still waiting to hear from aldon but expecting the same sort of answer

so if you are interested in a bit of free fame in mini mag and i can get at least 12 cars interested then let me know, but as i say, power runs only which are ?20, good to see if there are any problems with your car

right, lots of interest from 2 sites (this and miniclassic) and mini mag have emailed with the ok so looks like we are on!, need to speak to peeps in the club first see who still wants to come now its only power runs, i know a lot of people were needing setups so we will see how it goes, aldon have emailed too and there is no way it can be done before oct, where as hi tech seemed a bit quicker (will ring and try and get a date)

how are people fixed for weekdays? or would everyone pref sturday IF i can get it?

anytime is fine with me, weekday preferably though so i can get a day off :) as long as it isn't within the next month cos i just melted my engine, got get it replaced sharpish.

for all those interested in this day, i have pencilled in the date of sunday 1st of august with hi tech motorsport, I now need to get at least 15 cars for it to go ahead

checked the shows calender and there are no shows 1st august so no excuses!

so, if you are still interested, to book your place i need a cheque for ?20 asap and then obvioisly you pay nothing on the day, sorry to be harsh and ask for payment first but it solves the problem of people not turning up on the day, or at least the prob of me having to pay for your slot if you dont turn up!

dont forget mini mag will be there so it will be a cheap bit of fame for you and your mini and cheap entertainment as my gearbox trys to make an exit out of the block!

Its just being trying to afford everything

Just bought some tinted perspex windows, picking them up this weekend. I got quoted that a tune up on single carb is 90 pounds, 120 for twin carbs, so i know that a turbo is gonna be at least about 150? right?

Its really hard getting people there mate!!

I struggled with the TM RR. Ended up working out a good day though but was a bit worrying at times, thought no-one would turn up!
