Can someone tell me what this black screw thing is all about ?

Someone before me placed it there.. is it meant to be some kind of Made up seal ?
Shall i remove it or what ?

pull it off, it looks like someones tried to make up a seal using the water proof connectors you get on electrical boxes

The guy who had the car before me did some wanky things on the car... he was the one who built my head and engine ages ago..
Even steve (BENROSS) whos doing my cylinder head,
said who did your head *surprised*, coz even he said it was that bad..
Isn't that right steve *laughing*
Anyways. do i have to buy some kind of seal for it ? or not.

A 2omm compression gland as a seal.........?WTF
Just checked mine (its behind me on the floor) and there is no seal in it, but if you needed to fit one the same seal for the gear selector imput on the gear box may fit (correct me if im wrong)
