The movie is Legally Blond 3....seriously. My Mini is the feature car in this one and is driven by the father of the main characters. These pics were taken on the first day of a 4 day movie shoot. With a little luck, I'll be able to finish my turbo motor build with the money I get from this shoot!

Luggage piled comically high!


They were setting up the shot. The car was to be driven down the drive by the main character, then parked where you see the car. The house in the background is owned by Charlton Heston (Planet of the Apes) and is located in Beverly Hills.

The Director, in the green hat, was giving direction to the actors before the filming of the scene. This director also wrote and directed the 80's movie 'Better off Dead'.


A shot with the cute little girls and the Dad character driving my Mini....man did he run up the revs and slip my clutch! I was cringing! haha

I felt like a perv for wanting pics of the girls. So I didn't take any. I think they are only teenagers. They are visiting from the UK....I figured that if anyone would know who they are, it would be you guys!

I'll try to catch a few of them when I am on set on tuesday.

I'll be sure to get some pics of the girls for you Nic. I was particularly interested in the girls make-up artist. She was was a hot little thing and was wearing that sparkly lotion stuff....like she was hanging out with strippers.

I haven't met anyone famous on set yet, unfortunately. Although the director is considered famous as far as directors go I guess!

But seeing famous people is a pretty common occurrence around here. I've seen Pam Anderson, Nikki Cox, Rob Zombie, and a few sports celebs.

I detailed her S500 Mercedes for her when she was in town last summer. The thing reeked of pot and cigarettes and was littered with ashes and lighters!

on another note, cool thing to get your car in a movie!

Two more shooting days have passed. It sounds like my car will be in the movie for between 3-5 minutes. That's a lot of screen time!

Readying the car and the camera truck for a ride down Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.



The actor did the driving. So I watched over the shoot and sat in the camera truck. This shot is through the rear view mirror of that truck. We were causing quite a scene in Beverly, Hills that is.


I was impressed by the big camera rig/crane in the background.


Oh....and pics of females. This one was an extra. She was a patron of an upscale lemonade stand.

These are the two girls...and I emphasize GIRLS...that are the stars of the movie. Keep your leg humping to a minimum! haha

Possible a silly question but why is it still on a british number/registration plate?

I keep the plates on the car for effect. I suction cup a California plate the the rear windscreen when I'm out driving normally.

As for the movie, they wanted to keep the British plate because the twin girls and father character's just arrived from the UK...and they brought their Mini with them. There is a bit of suspended reality involved with this one. :)

I never understood why lemonade is pink here. It's only when you use those powders to make the drink. But when you go into your yard and pick lemons off your tree, lemonade is yellow. That idea was probably hatched by the same guy who thought pistachios should be dyed red.
