Didnt think i should write the words i was going to!!!

Got the turbo running really sweet yesterday but couldnt get the clutch to disengauge. Took the cover off as i thought that they'd possibly left the little top hat thing off, no thats fine.
Thought right, ill take it out and have the clutch off.

First of all there was oil dripping from in the clutch housing, great thats the seal gone i though, then proceeded to pull the clutch off, instead of coming of with a crack it dragged all the way off.

One completely fcuked crank taper is what i found!!! Bollards!

Its a completely new build that somebody had done.

reason for the clutch not disengaging was a very stiff drop gear.

Looks like avon park may be off, defo not turbo i dont reckon, may still bring the van with the mg metro lump.

Im coming whatever but was really looking forward to setting some half decent times.

have you seen my mini??? I'll be there, pull your finger out mate!!

Yeah i havent got any cash of spares though mate!! Im going to give it a go, it just seems one thing after another though!!!

Ill give it a go, thing is its a case of either putting the old mg metro engine in as i know its fine, or risk having the turbo lump done in time...

dont give up I am in the same boat...

I need to finish doing a new gearbox and an partial engine rebuild before avon park...

plus I have a few other things to do like a 11 hour a day job, helping a mate move house next weekend etc etc etc

I'll still be there !!

Well ive just re-fitted the mg metro engine. atleast i know thats fine. I may get chance to swap back to the turbo if i get it fixed in time. Ill still do some runs, be interesting to see what it does.

What a pain, it ran without fault as well, sounded like a brand new one it ran that even. only thought it was something funny in the clutch, plate the wrong way round or something.

its a bugger isnt it!
