well i cant beileve the hard sell i just got off vodaphone ,

just call up the 191 number ,choose the 'thinking of leaving vodaphone' option and then ask for your pac number ,that you need to use your old nos on a new network ,

when they try to convince you that you are a small drop of weazel spit in a turkish wrestlers jock strap for even daring to consider that you may be better off anywhere else ,
tell them politely you dont want thier advice and just want the number .... then sit back and watch the sparks fly ,as some pubescent little madam having her first big period gets all playground bitchy on your ass !

seems similar to the conversation I had with them recently regarding performance of my handset - I was told they were tied by the agreement with the supplier and there was absolutley nothing thay could or were prepared to do about it. I liked the awkward sound as I reminded them my contract was with vodafone and not the hanset supplier and that I would be taking the entire business contract elsewhere - then asked to speek to the supervisor. ended up getting a couple of months line rental for all phones for nothing out of it all. Still got a crap handset though!

Ok, I've only ever had the opposite experience.

Very polite, couldn't do enough to help and when I did think aobut moving because I'd moved into an area with a poor signal they gave me a super offer to keep the piece ....... and 2 months later a new mast location was added and my problem was gone!!!

Would I change from Vodafone ... don't think so.

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

My experiance with them was not that great either, I wanted to go from pay as you go to contract keeping my number. I got thrown from department to department with differing information. In the end I went ballistic at someone on the end of the phone and managed to get 6 months half price line rental. still didn't get to keep my number though.

in fairness you can probably get the same response, both good and bad, for all the companies
