just got off of the phone with them, after trying to cancel my policy, i found very nice to talk to and they advised me because of the type of policy i have with them if i cancel i dont get back any refund even tho i am totaly payed up (with 8 months to go)
and i had the NCB removed as my mini is in the garden looking sorry for itself :( and a few other amendment thrown in for free anyway kindof feel better knowing that both cars are insured untill i work out what to do with the mini

so also an update on the mini - somthing wrong with either pistons or rings on what looks like to be the 2nd+3rd cylinders oil on plugs after turning over for maybe 20-30s with coil not on and when the engine runs fair bit of breathing going :(

i now have a new home (back with the mum :) ) our lass gone to uni *oh well* so while i am making loads of savings (loads and loads, i recomend moving back in with the family hehe) well spent it ALL on the new car its a mkIV jap-missle
got 2 more letres,2 more pistons, 2 more seats, 2 more gears and TWO TURBO's *happy**happy*

seen the changes on the forum...good idea lol

The boring bloke who runs this place.

Berkshire

HIC will refund you if you change cars and they cannot cover you on the new one, otherwise, it was in the small print when you took the policy out.

Good company, crap phone waiting times.

I like nice quiet girly Minis

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Classic policies are non-refundable if you can not transfer another car to them, I've had to let it go a couple of times over the last few years.

The secret to getting through to HIC quickly is to NOT use the 0845 number but their normal telephone number ..... look at the documents for a number starting with 01279 ........

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

the dark side hehe, would love to keep messing about with the mini but i have spent too much on her this year and she still wont move (kinda sounds like the other half lmao) i lost all faith in the reliability and tbh its too small, i am sure i will be back in a mini at some point but it wont be A+ powered *smiley* and will deffinatly be stupidly quick, with the other half off at uni i need to be able to make it there and back without the worry and there is other cars i fancy having a bash at...when i am rich and have all my dream cars i will get another mini to show them how to go round corners *happy*

yep 3000cc twin sequential turbo.. basicaly the second turbo shuts down at low rpms to reduce turbo lag...clever people these japs :)
