Anybody know what the hose is for that seems to run from the plenum side of the carb to the butterfly side? |

at part throttle, it creates a small amount of vacuum in the floatbowl, via restrictions in drillings in the carb, to help lean cruise mixtures.
9.85 @ 145mph

It created a misfire issue with my car. A lot of people would advise you to block it off. In the 13's at last!.. Just |

mine ran lick crap when i blocked it off. then again everything i do seems to have an adverse affect |

I cant see any reason why it would cause running problems if the carb is set up right ? and the air bleed hole into the chamber from the plenum isnt blocked. 9.85 @ 145mph

if it splits or leaks it can cause a problem, so on my car where off throttle economy is not important, its safest to blank it off. |

Like the challenge carb, blocked off. Theres also a balance pipe fitted, god knows how it works though. On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:
