Inlet manifold

Hi Boys,

trying to build my own inlet manifold, i have tried modding a manifold from a midget or somthing but it isn't going well. I think i am going to start from sctrach, Trying to build a twin carb set up for HIF38's. I know i could buy one but wheres the fun, i know afew of you have build your own exhuast manifolds just wondering what size metal you used for the flandges on to the head?

if any one have some Cad plans of an inlet manfoild that would be pritty intersting.

I once had a manifold for twin webers on a 5 port made out of schedule (52 i think) Looked shit hot, never got around to trying them out tho! You could try using that.

Think you will find they are Solex carbs although Dcoe's would fit.

Yeah, Solexs were a bit cheaper at the time of mock up! IDHA I think they were!

What thickness of sheet do poeple use for the flanges? I havn't had chance to messureup my manifold manifold to get the thickness. thank you.

Im not sure on exactly how thick it was, but it was around 8mm thick.
