I am off home from uni this weekend, therefore I can have a bit of a play with the mini.

I still feel That it is not rust proofed enough. Despite cutting out everything that even threatened to go rusty when restoring it and giving it two coats of dintrol clear waxy stuff and waxoiling all the box sections, I am still not happy it has enough rust proofing.

Will wax oil be of any use under the wheel arches or will road dirt and grime attatch to it making the issue of cleaning a pain in the arse also will it be knocked off? Or shall I give it yet another coat of dintrol. I want to get it all proporly rust proofed before it gets dirty.

Paranoia I know, but I took the metro off the road. Now it is back to being the only car so will come out whatever the weather.

Cheers.
