i was planning to use a front mount radiator, but my intercooler is to big to have both rad and IC front mounted.

will a good side mount rad be ok, or should i be looking to get a smaller intercooler so i can run a front mount rad?

its very tight for space with the bonnet on and that K in there!

How thick is you IC?

i reckon you can sqeeaze a front rad in behind the IC if you can get the IC far enough forward.

For a car like yours i'd always go for a front rad so you can ditch the mechanical fan and water pump and give better acess to the engine.

Echo the above.

Im determined to get them to both fit in the front. With the right combo and "engineering" of the things that get in the way it shouldn't be to bad. *oh well*

its 65 mm thick.

i think i would have to go grill less to run them both together and i want to keep it really.

is it ok to run the intercooler infront of the rad then? i suppose it want be too hot!

i will still need a electrical fan as well in the mix! i mgiht try a mk2 golf rad instead of the metro one as the are a bit thinner.

i will get some pictures tommorrow so you can see how bad it is!

always put the IC in front of the rad.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i tried with a thin rad and intercooler combo and seriously couldnt get it to fit. that was with an alternator smaller than the nippon denso ones (i know this as the nippon doesnt fit into the same gap as the kubota one did!!!)

I had a minispares 2core but it got way too hot, i no others manage but id do whatever you can to make a front mount fit ?

I usto have a chargecooler when it was in the old car , i no uve got the ic now but a charge you can put anywhere in engine bay, only downside is lots of pipe work with it having its own cooling system.

i have just had a crafty measure up of my dads mpi mini, i think i might be able to make the rad fit as its a lot smaller than the 'tro item.

i think i will take my transfer housing into work and cut a bit off the strarter housing, like mini13 has done. ill get the IC in then see where it goes from there.
