I put my oil pump in the other day, and noticed i pushed the cam through to the other side. i pushed it back it. but just want to know could it have messed anyway up, like the set up.

Wouldnt seal the pump with sealant just a new gasket as sealant may get into the line of the oil flow.

Assemble the entire cam drive assembly, THEN fit the oil pump. THe cam will not move much then. If it does, have you remembered to fit the cam thrust plate? Fitted with three 1/4" bolts? On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

Put a small amount of engine build lube into the oil pump, if you fit it dry it will take forever trying to get it primed before initial startup.
