is it possible to change an A series 1275 block from 9 stud to support an 11 stud head fitment?

yes, you just need to drill and tap the extra 2 holes, bosch job done.

3/8" UNC
dont drill too deep over the water pump housing 12mm is enough there,
and the torque figure is reduced to 25 ft pounds over that as well

if it does its no big deal but try not to 12mm depth is just right

that depends on how much the deck has been skimmed though... My bloc deck has been skimmed 7 mm, so I met air fairly quick...:)
