ive set my mini as low as it will go with standard arches and its not even close to low enough. can i cut the rear arch up the body and have it re-welded together so i can sit it on the floor.? also does anyone no of any mods i can do to the engine without spending ????? ive got intercooler, dump valve, air filter, recond t3, what can i do????????

Of course you can modify your arches to lower the car.... If that's what you want.

Not sure how the standard suspention will like working at that angle though. Perhaps coil overs would better suit your application, but you better make sure those modded arches are up to holding the weight!

As for engine, a decient head is always a good investment esp. if the cam is changed as well.

A T2 turbo is suposed to be the mutts nuts as long as you don't want stupid boost levels, as it is less 'laggy' than the mighty T3. (My next mod )

If you start running stupid power levels, then the gear box and drops must be up to the job.

I think the VERY rough guide for max bhp with some reliability is around the 130 - 140 mark after that things get expensive, but don't quote me on that.
