Can't seem to find it listed. But it's the 2 bolt holes in front of the clutch slave cylinder location. Its were most people ( and myself ) mount their coil packs.

Looks UNC..?

But not to sure.

Without a pic i CAN ONLY GUESS its the holes above the starter? if so I think 5?16" UNC?

Yep. That’s the fellows. Directly above the starter. Not used for anything apart from a mounting for the cable to feed the starter motor.

I can now mount the coil pack and see if the thing will start.

No metric shit should ever be on a Mini. Get a 3/8UNC tap.

That's what the slave is mounted in, aren't those bosses the same size OD?

why use a helicoil? why not just use the 5/16 UNC thats already there? has he mentioned that the threads are broken?

No threads broken, Just off down the nut and bolt shop for the correct threaded socket cap bolts.

Properly have to buy a million.

Clutch slave cylinder mounting is a different thread again I think. Well, the bolt out of it did not fit!
