Starting to think about my luck or lack of it the last 3 months.
Fridge died in August.....bought a new one.
Metro died in September....still fixing it.
Transit died in October.....fixed, still got teething faults
November......damn washing machine!!!!!!! Need a new one!!!
Just want my metro up & running!!!!!!!
Going to start praying & going to church on a Sunday soon!

From the noise the thing was making..thought it was bearing. Got the drum out..the whole spline end has just rotted away! Only 5 years old.

I'm not even going to try and fix mine. It's banging about and bits are breaking off the drum.

Effing thing, 5 year AEG, cost £500, supposed to be the muts nuts.

Now the MD wants a £1200 Miele. Might be money well spent if it lasts, but it's a big gamble.

Jason, try some of the domestic spares websites, I've managed to get spare bits for a few things now, not as dear as you think often as well.

Worth a try Tom. If the drum was stainless, I would of welded the thing back together

Good stuff glad you got it fixed, although looking through earlier I found a place that was selling the "spider" (e.g. the three legged bit with shaft) as a repair part to fit to your existing drum, with the bearing, it was £65 though so for an extra tenner its worth having the drum too.
