I would not suggest using these on suspension or steering. These are not bad joints for the money and if used for the right jobs.

Some cheap joints have an injection moulded (looks like nylon) liner that is forced through a hole in the end of the joint around the ball. These are not strong at all.

I'm 99% sure these are not made by Rose. I think they are FK look here http://www.fkrodends.com/CM%20CF.htm

If you are looking to buy good rod ends that are actually going to last some milage before they are loose you wanna buy Rose. The ones sold for race car use are the best lasting joints in my opinion. Not as pretty as some as they are a dull grey/brown colour. Good NMB joints are also good.

hi guys
ive used these chaps for years for rod ends on my suspension on my autograss special. They are infact very high strength and serious value for money, we have done many tests such as tensile testing to ensure this and they are high spec, are you buying the lower grade economy ones or the high performance?

Ive not bought Rose joints from them, but recently got a weld on splined quick release steering kit - good price and was here the day after ordering, top service.

Old thread- but is the general consensus that the "Ultra High Performance Rod Ends" ok and as strong as they say, or still no trust in using them for suspension parts?

I know generally you buy cheap- buy twice, but as these guys state the strength etc, are they actually a bargain? I've been quoted £34 each for top quality PTFE lined 1/2" male rod ends, McGill are £8.95 or something...

I'm using them on my suspension, and they havent broken yet. And it's a 1700kg tub of lard !!

Front wishbones have an inner fitting with 5/8" thread, 1/2" bolt, although rears axle ones are larger.

Cheers Stevie, I'd be using them for my rear radius arms, 1 each end, should be low stress until going sideways over ruts etc....
