right now my car is together and its my first turbo build just wanna check a few things!

1.i have blocked up the overboost valve in the plenum, but dont have any other means of dumping boost (no dumpvalve) is this ok

2. im not using a blled valve or the ecu but i have fitted another actuator (avonbar 8psi, fitted with 5mm preload), plumbed round onto the t piece on the turbo and then the other end of the t (the bit that runs to the boost controller on the metro) blanked off, am i right in thinking, using this setup that the boost will reach 8psi or so and then the wastegate will open and release any excess, leaving me with a constant 8psi while the car is on boost? or is it just going to keep building up and building up? (reason i ask is car seems to go a bit too well and when the boost kicks in IT KICKS IN!, maybe just me, havent driven a turbo before so i dont know what a standard one feels like)

thats it i think, please tell me i aint cocked up!

1. yup thats fine, just run a boost guage.

2. Fine... again runa boost guage!

have you got a boost guage fitted? if not get a good one fitted
