leeds/wakefield.

i'm struggling to comprehend why you would run a round from sheffield to wakefield to potentially save yourself £30.00. but still lose £40.00 ,!!!!

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Personal opinion, I wouldn't use fibreglass doors on a road car.

What is useless about them?

I live in a place where it doesn't get cold, it rarely ever rains, and Mini's are for weekends only. I've been thinking about fiber/carbon doors as a replacement for my rusty mk1 doors.

The problem with GRP doors for normal road use is that they don't seal, so you will get wet in any rain and you car will fill with water.

Also the top of the doors tend to tend to pull out at speed, which is noisy and will get you even wetter in any rain.

I wouldn't personally use them without a good cage with door bars either.

Stick with normal doors, you can remove loads of weight! If you take everything off them they weigh bugger all!

At 118mph they are flapping like a penguin trying to take off.

Ok, that makes sense. Are the carbon doors any stiffer than the GRP ones?

Maybe with Mk3 or newer doors this is the case. But with MK1 doors, there isn't much to remove. And as far as safety goes on grp doors, I can't see how single skinned MK1 doors are any safer.
