i'm struggling to comprehend why you would run a round from sheffield to wakefield to potentially save yourself £30.00. but still lose £40.00 ,!!!! |

Personal opinion, I wouldn't use fibreglass doors on a road car.

The problem with GRP doors for normal road use is that they don't seal, so you will get wet in any rain and you car will fill with water.

Stick with normal doors, you can remove loads of weight! If you take everything off them they weigh bugger all! 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

At 118mph they are flapping like a penguin trying to take off.

Ok, that makes sense. Are the carbon doors any stiffer than the GRP ones?

But with MK1 doors, there isn't much to remove. And as far as safety goes on grp doors, I can't see how single skinned MK1 doors are any safer. 61 Austin Seven; building a 1275 'over the clutch' turbo, R5 T2'd, custom intercooled, megajolt electrified, canyon carver
