well what a crap year and hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel.

sfter the blown 1380 and ring land failure on the 1310. minispares sent pistons to AE and came back with forces from above eg wrong fueling, timing ect. well took that on the chin like a big boy but neil at MS north gave me some nice discount on a new set so got these.

rehoned bores my self after getting a honer and refitted new pistons and big end shells.

now she started first tug of the ign switch and after 15 miles seems to be spot on. plugs look a loverly colour to.

fitted a 82 deg themo, removed oil cooler but did leave the extra rad on the front as i couldnt be bothered to remove from the IC.

going splash yet some more cash on a AFR gauge and this is were i need some help.

i have already got a place to fit a lamda sensor on the turbo elbow ( thanks Turbo dave for that) so i believe i need a cold sensor.

but what kit is the best and were to buy it from i have sen a few on fleabay from the states and a few in the uk but not sure which one would be best so help would be greatfully recieved.

also need some help with rev counter i have a classic smiths one but cant rember which diods to get and what way round the need to be soldered and what wire to put them on.

you are all stars so kepp up the good work

going to run her in over the winter when get nice days so she is ready for the start of next year readey to rock and roll.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

I've got the AEM kit, its dead easy to hook it up, 12v feed, an earth, then all the rest has plugs on so you just fit the sensor and then plug it all in, job done.
Its a simple solution that gives you the info you need at a glance, plus it is all self contained in the gauge so neat and tidy.
As for the lambda sensor, the turbo elbow might be too hot for a wideband sensor, when we fitted it to the Benross machine for setting up it was fitted in the downpipe after the bend, before the knuckle joint.

Or contact Bill Shurvinton for the Innovate wideband stuff in the UK.

Think he is registered here under same name too.

I've been running the Innovate LC-1 with a Dynotune Gauge now for about six months, no problems.

The advantage of the Innovate stuff is that you can add to it. Datalogging is then easy.

Well done buddy, as robert says try the rev counter off the pip signal as i dont believe the classic smiths tacho works using the diode circuit anyway.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

As I've just gone over to MS2/Extra that does away with the EDIS, I've just connected an MPi tach to one of the coil outputs.

Circuit for what you need attached.
