theres heat them selfs, and need to be at least 36 inches away from the blower. I can never remember what they call them, I think these are classed as hot ones.

The manual says 36'' from exhaust valve,which is sort of in the downpipe?Any further and it's hanging under the car. 'Where does the engine go?' |

yes I would have said that's why it shouldn't be to close to turbo. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

I had a narrow band in my elbow for years, and never had a problem - don't know that i'd wont to risk it on a Wideband however!!! On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

Yes dave the narrow band needs the heat from the gases, which would expalin why it was ok. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

I've only ever used a 4-wire sensor Matt - non heated elements really aren't worth messing with.

my wideband is in the elbow about 6" from the turbine wheel, no bother in a good few thousand miles. LC-1 for what its worth, tho i think the aem uses the same sensor!? Edited by evolotion on 5th Nov, 2007. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
