Does anybody know the length of the selector on a metro? Is it the same length as the mini or longer.

The reason I ask is because on the TT we use an Allegro selector which is a few inches longer and puts the gear stick in a nice position. However, Allegro selectors are hard to find so I was wondering if a metro one would do the trick.

Cheers

Ben

yep, a bit longer,

dunno how much though, but i'm fairly sure it puts the stick right in the middle of the cross member

If anyone has one they could measure, that would be very useful.

I might have an Allegro one. Possiblly delivery to Harrogate?

BTW, it's rather easy to lengthen them as well....

i think the metro one isnt much longer really.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

mmm, plus chomping the bars right down and welding in some tube should save a bit of weight too.

I thought that the bars were a pain to weld?

Anyway if the correct length is available then it saves time and effort.

It's the gear lever itself that's a bitch. Not the rods.
