Wrapping exhaust manifold is top priority. Stop the heat at the source. On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:

the best option is to ceramic coat the manifold on the outside and the mating flanges, copper coating first then ceramic. On a warm day I would get condensation on the outside of the inlet manifold. I personally don't think wrapping the manifold in a little blanket before tucking it up in bed will help !!

Mat, because there's no heat element inside the carb. The carb is fed with cold air, colder than engine compartment temps. What's heating the air inside the carb? Nothing. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

Put reflective coating on the inlet(chrome plate?) to reflect heat. 'Where does the engine go?' |

Well the carb is connected to the headand that get hot, as well as the carb getting hot to, If the air cools it so much why is it that most carbs are still red hot after a hard run? Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

The inlet is never hot when you're driving. It's when you're stationary that heat rises. The inlet is fed cold air ALL the time when driving.

Doesn't matter at all. The carb is still sucking cold air from the outside. The faster/harder you go, the colder the carb.
