Airbus have finally sent me on the Full CATIA course! YAY and Im modelling up a drill jig for the K head and also some other bits and bobs, is there anyone else on here that uses CAD/CAM much?

If i can get good enough im going to try and get some CNC stuff made up as ive got some stupid ideas in my head :)

If anyone can get hold of a 3D model of a Bimmer K Head that would be great, ive already asked a mate who used to work at BMW but no joy!

I'm a catia v4 user, ideas, Pro E (my favourite much better than all that french bollocks!), Keycreator, abaqus - oh my head hurts now!

i asked BMW for drawings for a uni project but they said no

i'm a unigraphics user myself and prefer it over the other systems i've used/seen.

just dabbling with CFX4 now as well

been using unigraphics for over 9 years now

heard good things about catia, i know it gets used a lot for aero interiors

i'm working at RR at the mo in derby and they are on unigraphics, i was at siemens before in lincoln which were also on unigraphics

handy skill to have using 3d CAD

I did alot of catia v5 at uni, gave me more than a few headaches. Good luck with it

2 weeks into the course and a few things nicely modelled up!

I just need to work out how to turn the CAD models into NC programmes
