I'll give you one good tip. Buy a fibreglass seat, and NOT a steel tube one. First of all they're more comfortable, second they won't hit you to death if you have a crash.

If you aren't fat, I'd go for the narrowest possible.

Listen to Vegard, they are words of wisdom.

Always fit the narrowest you can get away with. Apart from anything big seats look pants in a Mini IMO.

I have Monacos - I would have liked a shell type seat rather than a tubular frame but sadly I couldn't find one I could fit in!
Mine fit fine with a 6 point cage.

monacos can plink-plonk near the small of your back, it can get quite tedious

I'm the wrong side of 17 stone and have just got myself a sparco pro 2000 seat, it's a great fit (tight but not uncomfy) and a huge improvement over my old buckets.

OMP RS get my vote. Far better than Monacos (although the Monaco is not a bad seat, but it is heavy).

You'll have to have a seriously wide arse not to fit in the majority of seats, I'm not exactly a small bloke and have only ever had a problem when I tried to sit in the Kirkey in Carl's twinnie (no chance).

Why not go down the shop and sit in a few seats?

well i have sat in both and for the 2mins or so i sat in either both felt find but is when there in the car and your doing a big drive that i need help from the peeps with experance with them. The Monacos seem a tight fit in the car where as the clubmans seem to fit better. A mate has the clubmans in an escort (propper one mk2) And they seem nice enough. OOO good NEWS The mini is comming to my new house soon to live in my garage instead of the parents place!! yay!
