i take it you can still pass an mot without the bumpers on a mini?
its a dumb dumb question iknow but iwant to be sure for when do it.

you can pass with the seams, but no bumpers. Even though its a sharp object, its factory part of the panel and cannot be failed on. I passed with no front bumper, and so did john my best friend, both at different stations, we asked rick an MOT tester from pudsey, because its a standard panel part its alloud! Silly rules because i reckon it could easily chop a pedestrians ankles to the bone!

Nah i only just found out the other day when helping a friend fill his wing wiht filler. We got told about the sharp edge thing would fail it, so it had to be super smooth. Just happened to ask him why we both got through MOT wiht the front bumper lip *tongue*

Yep, I've passed loads of MOTs without a rear bumper and just the seam.

Still if you're worried, slap one on and then take it of afterwards.

thats cool, i am going to deseam the rear bumper lip any way and clubmans dont have that lip on the front so i'm safe.
