my bulkhead box looks a bit flimsy a few spot welds hold it together would you run some exra weld on it ? if so along inside of box or outside ? |

Seam weld the box, do not fit it as it is !!

nobody told me this :( Mines seam welded all arround the tabs, along the top is double because i fitted it 1/2 an inch lower for more clearance. didnt weld the actual box though :( Previous Engine: 1040cc Morespeed engine, 1275 turbo head T2 Turbo Mirage Manifolds Megajolt

I decided to seam weld mine as when i opened the packet it came in through the post both the ends fell of it .....

yeah i looked at mine and there were 6 spot welds holding it together, seam welded that and the bulkhead. also the angled bit of bulkhead you have to cut off i just cut a V out of the crossmember and bent it round then seam welded it back up as its thicker than the piece you get with the boxes. we cut out a bit of the roof off my old mini to make a piece to double that cross member bit up lol Previous Engine: 1040cc Morespeed engine, 1275 turbo head T2 Turbo Mirage Manifolds Megajolt
