My mate is off to Australia in a few days, he has a Fisher Fury with a Fireblade engine (unfinished kit) in my garage, a rally spec pinto engine, a 60 mini and a hovercraft and 2 suzuki jeeps on our land. He's also got a 68 TVR vixen at his place, all to be got rid of in the new year.

Basically, I want the space and his "shit" is a hassle, I'd buy the mini but I have my 66 to get fully going again.

Short history, made in 60, Morris Mini Minor, White, was raced for a while, looks like an old rally car, maybe rallycross, has been drilled for a 3 point cage. Was bought off a bloke who couldn't do it who got it from a repair garage where it had sat in the back, dry since the mid 70's. It looks horrible, really shitty green colour, wrong colour doors but is very very solid. The boot floor has been welded by a monkey and it isn't that pretty (if you like good welds) good welds but not textbook. The floor is a one piece job and is totally rust free. THe front valance is a bit bent and has been deseamed for the front bumper. It needs repair below the boot lid. I'm going to have one of the rear radius arms off it as he bent one of mine. You are looking at the shell, minus fun bits, 2 subframes, it's a trailer away job. It looks horrible but in all honesty is a better shell than my very well repaired and restored 66 (has new sills) His are perfect. The interior and odd bits like the bonnet are off a 64 car as the garage got rid of the race parts. He has boxes of really good tuning bits (full suspension-turbo brakes, 4 core rad, etc, etc) with it but for £500, you'd get the shell, 4 doors, bootlid, bonnet. There is no V5 but all the numbers are right and it has it's original 6 figure plate. It looks like a proper piece of shit but is unbelievably solid. Moreso than most of the last minis. It will require a fix up and a respray.

I'd hate it to be over restored as there are too many of them, it would make a very tatty rat car and my mate was going to put a silly engine in it, rust proof it and drive it around as is.

If I had £500 spare, I'd have it, grease it up and stick it in a corner. It is a bargain for someone. But if you look at it, it is horrible, a real eyesore, but you will not have seen a less rusty early mini (unrestored). It's a light shell as compared to mine, it makes a different noise when you tap it, it is thinner but the quality of the metal is so fresh.

All this shit needs to go. The fisher, tvr, hovercraft (big fire) and the jeep. He's just got another jeep.

Don't bust your balls to come and get it, it is a horrible pea green/red oxide raced piece of shit with no wheels and shortly no rear right radius arm, it looks like a total scrapper, but on closer inspection is an amazing shell.

He has all the bits to make it fly (apart from the engine) and it is a very very good shell which for £500 is a total bargain. You don't need to weld the hell out of it, but it will need a LOT of work to make it pretty. It won't need so much if you are prepared to drive a rust free rat mobile.

I've got my own shit to deal with and can't be arsed with my mates junk, he's off to Oz for 6 weeks and all this stuff needs to go, pronto. He's quite tight and won't throw stuff away, for £500 it's a bargain though and being a light shell would be good for making a fast car. The headlining is 100% fine, it's missing 1 red seat, no carpets, it really is tatty to look at but you get my drift. You'll need a trailer and the inclination to do it, but it isn't doing anything in my garage.

That's about it. It's a solid 1960 car, probably one of the most solid and unwelded there is, unless you count museum pieces. But I hear that the very early ones were good with the rust. I think it was to do with Morris/Austin sourcing different steel before 64 (which is when morris minors went cheap)

Bugger off, I'm getting there.
