I'm just about to get the car back from the painters and am now turning my attention to thoughts for the interior. This one is going to be a bit more of a road car than track so am thinking of alternatives to buckets. I'm not putting in a back seat though so only need fronts.

Thoughts so far have included Audi TT and various porker units. Anyone fitted anything like these? Also thought I could get the electrics wired up as well. I don't really like seats that appear too big in the car and do recall seeing a couple of cars a few years ago with 205 seats in which were a good fit.

Any other suggestions are welcome!

I have no interior at all. Thoughts are to go for grey leather seats with a charcoal dash; grey dash rails and carpet.

I fitted Mk1 MX5 seats. Easy to fit and narrow. The early ones have speakers in the headrest too.

I have a pair of elise seats to go in my car when time allows. Nice and narrow and have the lumbar support in them as well. Nice and light with no electric gismos to worry about.

Porsche Boxster or old 911 ones fit, very comfortable and fairly lightweight for what you get (electric adjustment etc). Second on the elise seats, my friend drives a Mk 2 elise and they are comfy all right.

I've got a few standard 205 seats kicking about if anyone wants to try them in a car to see what they are like.

given I'm sitting in the car, i've already given up on the weight issue! (that and the fact it has an extra 20kg of mig wire and a ton of filler added already!!)

Tom, what nick are the seats in?

You could probably make a decent pair out of the 4 I have LOL!

Only really good for testing in the car prior to buying some better ones IMO, but free if you want to take a pair to try.

Would 11 be classed as light or reasonably light?

I wasn't too happy by the fact that my pair of cobra monacos with subframes added 26 kgs to the cars weight.

They are comfortable though.
