Id have though this was DANGEROUS, hence why most use Nitrous oxide.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Extremely dangerous. The reason nitrous is relatively safe from an explosion-and-fire standpoint is that it does not react with fuel at low temperatures. At higher temperatures seen after normal combustion starts, the nitrogen and oxygen disassociate, freeing the oxygen to work with the fuel. Oxygen, even not pure but significantly enriched, makes everything around it extremely flammable. I read once that if the atmosphere went from 21% oxygen as normal up to 25%, forest fires would be uncontrollable. 1275 with Back Door Turbo |

As others say, extremely dangerous, I do atmosphere testing at work and have seen videos of oxygen enriched environments, NOT GOOD.

Plus the nitrogen in th NO2 when broken down helps to control the ferosity and temperature of the combustion. Back once again like a renegade master |

I played with "injecting" compressed air in to the inlet of my mx5, Basicly had a tank in the boot little valve and a regulator. press the button and 4bar was vented in to the inlet track. remmber tho its venting to attmosfer so didn't help much more than just running a good cold air intake. Cheep but bit rubish form of NOS i geuss. |

Right. Some folks just shoot the intercooler with a fire extinguisher before a run. 1275 with Back Door Turbo |

they shoot co2 on the intercooler to freeze the air going into the inlet. the asme works with nitercooler sprays eg co2/h2o/n2o jets onto the intercoler//rad to reduce temperatures and increase performance just like nitrouse jets into the engine. Drives
