Hi all

In driveability terms what is the main difference between a T3 metro unit with A/R = 0.26. and the Ford escort T3 unit with A/R = 0.36 ?? Is the difference noticeable?

I'm asking this because my original T3 needs overhauling, I just think the seals are goosed though. So, do I get a T3 repair kit and do it myself, that way retaining the original 0.26 A/R or do I pay for a reconditioned unit and probably get back a 0.36 A/R??

Cheers
Rich

If the seals are goosed then theres no reason they shouldn;t just refurb the bits you have so you still have the original A/R, you should only end up with adifferent A?R if the turbines shagged or the exh housing is cracked.
