i have, it was hilarious. How i got let off i'll never know...

A jam sandwhich once followed me about 5 miles whilst my indicators werent working, i never once idicated to go around corners and they never pulled. Minis must give off a respectable feel!

I've Been pulled plenty in a mini, not for 10 years though. Police pulling cars over has reduced massively since the introduction of speed cameras.

Never got anything other than a producer though. One copper even said "I don't normally pull minis over, but you were going a bit fast"

Seriously though,

I keep getting nicked for speeding in minis as my speedo's have a habit of packing in, this along with my reluctance to fix things means i keep getting pinched just as the last set of points is due to come off.

Never..but considering it spends more time in bits its no surprise..:)

Yes, a few years ago, as a 17 year old with a bright yellow mini estate with a loud exhaust I once got pulled over twice on the way to the pub, by different traffic police. Even when I showed the second guy my producer he just carried on and gave me another. BAC's.

Once, but got off with it, because I told the copper that my speedo was reading out. And I think that I was local helped too.

I got pulled a couple of times in my first car.

First time was about 3 weeks after I bought it. It was just into the new year and I got pulled over for out of date tax. This ended up with an enthusiastic traffic plod telling me my 998 was actually a 1275 and that my car wasn't insured as a result. Then got a lecture about getting it sorted out etc. Still let me drive it home though!

second was about 6 months later. Got pulled over by a couple of bike cops who took my keys off me, wouldn't let me out of the car and told me it was stolen and I would be arrested shortly and taken to the station. After a short while, I got a pathetic excuse that they had mis-read my number and that I could go. I ended up getting a complaint upheld because they did not appologise for my inconvenience. The whole deal had happed on Southend seafront and there was a large croud gathered to watch!

I do remember a story of when a couple of the guys were racing off each set of lights a few years ago. The traffic boys were a few cars back and after a few sets, pulled them over. There had been quite a bit of banter between the boys racing as to whose mini was quicker. The best and most memorable comment was made by one of the cops who made a short comment allong the lines of 'your mate appears to have the edge on you'. The other guy gladly received his ticket having had the performance endorsed by the plod. No more arguements in the pub.

i got pulled 3 times in a mini

1 st was 16 years ago and i got told off for doing 25mph down hill in a 40 limit. told them i thought it was a 30 limit and didnt say i lost all the brake fluid 10miles ago and the speedo didnt work. got let off

2nd was speeding with other minis and just got told off. approx 10years ago

3rd was speeding, got told it took them over a mile to catch up but still let off. approx 5 years ago.

I once got pulled over on my pushbike for cycling down a big hill in 21st gear with my head down on the bars.
The road went into a 30mph limit at the bottom of the hill and this particular day there was a speed trap at the bottom.
Apparently I was doing just over 35mph!
The policeman told me to slow down as if I came off at that speed I would seriously hurt myself............

I once overtook an old boy in a nissan micra on my pushiron, he looked at me gone out as i went passed.

Ahh... Banter with the Policeman, I remember that. Over here he sidles up to you with his hand on his gun and you put your hands up on the wheel and hope to shit he doesnt get scared by anything and shoots ya.. Not much bantering goes on,

Can't blame them really they do get shot at!!

I remember once getting pulled over doing 96 mph around Stoke, pulling out my wallet and some money falling out. I said "not trying to bribe you or anything officer" he said "its not enough anyway!" we had a giggle and in the end I actually got off scott free.

haven't been pulled much in the mini, got pulled by a copper on foot because my car was making a funny noise (SC box) then when he realised it was supposed to be like it and there was nothing he could do he did me for having slightly pink brake lights (shitty clear lenses and red bulbs) jumped up little shite.

used to get pulled about 3 times a week in my first car though, a mk2 astra. mainly because i was 17/18 and finishing work at 1am then heading off up town with a car full of mates to play pool, they used to think we were out joyriding....in a feckin 1.2 ohv astra, i'm sure i'd have nicked a better car.

Just read your post, youll always get some bell end! Sounds like a right tool, just because he was a lad when minis were in theyre prime he reckons he knows the lot! Ive had guys in theyre 50s coming upto me in carpark giving me the lecture on minis just because im in my 20s! The fact is im know expert but ive been into since i was about 7 and know a fair as much everyone else on here!

i got pulled over for "driving like a cock" in the policemans own words. I was accelerating hard from lights etc, but not speeding or overtaking or dangerous driving. i'd been followed by an unmarked white transit type van.

they got an evo 7 out just incase aswell and a marked mercedes car. they checked my details and told me to slow down, which i did. i have to say i'm now more wary, because any car could be a policeman.

another time, my mate reved my engine outside the pub (loud exhaust), and a special was shouting in my face for a good 5 minutes. BAC

another time i got a producer for a cracked number plate.

And once i was filling up in the petrol station and saw the volvo coming in behind me, so i kept a low profile as i tried to find my wallet.

Another occasion was when it was just built and under 998 power. An astra pulled in behind me and blocked me in a parking space. I sheepishly kept away from the car and he asked me and my mate it was ours. "err yes" I wimpered

He then asked if he could have a look around it as he had just got one.
Whilst he was looking around it the other police man started hooning around the car park-wheel spins, handbrake turns, and then kept driving off when he was trying to get back in the car

got pulled over in 1986 the police were coming the other way seen me giving it some in my 998 731 cam and twin choke nick carbed mini

so i nailed it further for a few miles then slowed down to 25mph when he pulled me he said you were going a bit fast there i said no chance with this 850 engine ....lol he let me go
