First is a stage 1 1275SPi

Second is a stage 1 998 HIF38 carb

Personaly the figures seem inflated, but what really gets me is how similar the two are from such different engines

Just curious thats all. Nothing is impossible i supose*oh well*

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

lenaord... if the scales for torque in lbft and hp are the same they MUST cross...

bhp = (torquexrpm)/5252

You can't measure hp, only calculate it from torque.

Whats the chance of a stage 1 998 producing 67bhp??

One thing i notice, there is no peak torque rpm. Is the operator hiding something?

The 998, the owner spent almost £150 for a tune up, he videod what looks like most of the runs, and every time the coast down was braked off

I supose this is one way of adding bhp at the flywheel by simply increasing the losses.

There is NO WAY a stage one 998 would have that much torque, or bhp. That's more torque than my turbo 998 has, and trust me NO stage one 998 would be anywhere as fast as my car.

They are bullshit, probably taken in 3rd gear. I say this as I've never had the max torque exceed the max bhp on a mild NA motor, infact even on a tasty NA motor.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

I agree, but I was talking about the way the lines are exactly the same shape, and both come back up to cross the line again very shortly afterwards
