I have had some serious problems with my brakes. I pulled away and when i applied brakes my front left disk brake went flying out the car. I have gone around to all garages around my town and nobody can get me the brakes i need.

What i want to know is can i change my mini's callepers (basically the whole thing) to another vehicles brake system.
Can i put maybe a toyota' disks or something like that in there, anything that would be the easiest to change to.

In the mean time i have sealed the left brake line. So now when i brake i only use the right brake. Hope this is not to bad for my steering colum.

I have a 1975 mini 1275e with discs in front.

i wouldn't drive it with only one brake up front!
where are you from?
it should be easy enough to get parts from all the various mail order places.
