Hi all. I have a new rebuilt engine and jus wondering if my oil pressure seems too low compared with everyone elses, Its running 25lb on idle when warm and when reving rises to around 50lb. Is this low? My other mini is alot higher than this, jus wondering if the turbo engines run lower for any reason? Any suggestions on reasons why if so? And what i could do to improve it? Its had all new bearings and a new turbo oil pump. Cheers

Sounds OK to me, the important thing is that it maintains a good pressure at warm idle.

If you wanted to, you can remove the oil relief valve spring and place a small packer behind it, then replace it. This puts more preload on the spring, this will raise the oil pressure. Don't go mad though, too high and you are wasting power and heating the oil up unnecessarily.
