Hi all,

I need some help, Ive recently bought a multi speed heater for my 1989 mini. I cant get the water to pump around the heater.

It seems like the water coming out of the engine via the bottom hose is bypassing the hose that goes to the heater.

So the inlet manifold hasn't been getting any water either.

Ive tried to take the pipes off slightly to bleed air out and have tried to persuade the water to come through the pipes. If I take the pipe which goes to the heater itself off the water empties out??? but it still doesn't pump around and up to the inlet???

The car is not overheating so I don't believe its the water pump. any suggestions?

Dosen't the water pump the other way. i.e out of the head into the heater then back into the bottom hose?

Where does the other heater hose come from and what valve have you got?
