My turbine housing is a little choked up to say the least after some VERY worn oil seals.

Is it worth cleaning the excessive build up of oil out of the housing or will it just burn off once its up to temp?

If its worth doing, has anyone got any good ways of cleaning it, without having to use baths of solvents etc...?

Cheers

Matt

Warwick.

got access to a shotblaster/hand glass blaster what ever you want to call it?
at work the centre body, exhaust and inlet all go into the blaster (as long as the studs wont get caught)
we use a solvent wash to take most the oil out then put it in the blaster when it come out its fine, if you want you can always polish the insides a little (depending what turbo it is, KKK ones have removable insides)
we also make sure that all the shot is out the turbo, nothing a good bit of compressed air wont solve...health n safety love that bit!
