Hi, I need some information a project and wondered if you guys could help.

Does anyone know what material standard gears are made out of, are the gear teeth made of different material or treated in some way?

Are straight cut gears made of the same materials as the standard gerset?

Also I found that standard diff pins are made of tuftrided steel, does anyone know what grade steel was used?

Thanks!!!

Rich

Lots of different materials are used - but i've no idea what the factory used for their gears of diff pins.

BTW Rich, I sent you the gearbox parts today. Just a few teeth at the moment, but you can have the rest when I pull the engine.
