I never thought that the project would see the day when it came to be time for spraying, but I think over the Christmas break it just might happen. I know this site is more technical than poncey image stuff but what do you think? Edited by dn89mini on 28th Nov, 2007. Check out the (slow) progress at.......

Just depends on what you like buddy, yellow is quite popular see Jimsters, Giallofly, Benross, Richie, otherwise Wolfies is orange and green, Paul Wigi, Gav Wakely, Roberts and Daves are blue, mine will be red, Carl has a white one, Fastcarl has deep red, and don't forget the DON with its Almond green and gelcoat finish.......................

If your going modern have a look around some late model cars. '70s colours are in, lime greens, oranges, and some nice heavy metalics and pearls are being used on new cars (look at the orange ST Focus and Audi S3). I like them (not on a new car but for a mini) but the only thing is they will date fast and are pricey 3 stage paints (especially water based paints). On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

You could always go for a standard colour. I did that and it looks in my opinion perfect for the car. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

Thanks for the input so far. What do you think of Gloss Black for most of the car with Gloss/Matt chequers on the roof?

The age of the car & style of body (Skirt kit, 13" wheels arch's all make a difference when it comes to choice ofcolour !)

this is where is comes down to personal taste although the colour choice should reflect the style of car to an extent.

That will work really well don't worry. I painted mine Russet brown and the painters wined the whole way through the job until they saw the end product! On 7th Nov, 2008 Nic said:

Mine's Seat Natural Copper (it's a pearlised finish) used on the Cupra in the nineties. You can see it here http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums//index....p=vt&tid=175676
