hi, my clutch cylinder has leaked everywhere, all over my feet, ruined my carpet and my floorpans going to need repainting!

are these serviceable is there any seals or anything i can change? because theyre less than 2000 miles old - what do i expect though, theyre from minisport...

Maybe it could be too much load onto it, im using a short clutch arm on standard metro turbo engine and clutch.
anybody got a long arm clutch setup i can buy from them if this could be the cause? my clutch is very short travel and hard, but i have always been used to it and liked it, but maybe thats the cause.

thankyou
james

The thing is. The last MC I bought was brand new. However, its manufacturing date was in 1997. This means it's not so new still. Check yours.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

resealing them is pretty easy,

its getting the bugger off the car that gtake the time.

minispares do seal kits,

basicaly, there is a circlip at the bottom that holds the gubbins in, remove this and it'll all spring out, there is a piston with seals on it, pull them off and put the new ones on, re-asemble....

spend twice as long fitting to the car...

also there might be a little plastic valve thing in there to replace, but that might be the brake master...

exactly what i needed to hear to persuade me to buy a new one, thanks steve.
Its like when people told me about not having sucess of servicing fuel regulators, and just to change them for new ones. Probably not worth the money saving.

Could the cause of my brand new clutch master cylinder leaking be because ive used synthetic clutch fluid? I used it from brand new.

Thanks
JAmes
