No shell, scrap crank, and a carb in lots of little bits...

Working 12hr days start to finish at work plus finishing my course work off before the end of the week!!!

I WILL be at avon park if it kills me. Doing a stint in the garage till 12 when i get in tonight then up again at 6:30 for work!

not ready yet!! this is going to be close, but I'm going balls out to get there!

hopefully i can make it....ive got this week off work and are starting on the engine rebuild this afternoon,then i have to fit the coilovers and numerous other little jobs including mot to get...i will be putting a some photos up of my car and rebuild later today if anyone is interested

Well... hopefully!!

over the weekend i snapped the union off my oil cooler nicked the std pipe off another engine and turned her over... ang got oil pressure!!! WOO HOO!!!

all i gotta do now is


Ignition system. (got new coil yesterday at stanford)
Fit Top hose (got that yesterday too.)
Airfilter fitment (and this)
Wire in Fuel pump.

also got a UES to fit, but that can wait if i dont have time

Will do some pics tonight if i remember

Got a few aerodynamic tweeks and another special mod to sort.

Been on the road for over 2 weeks now, apart from a dodgy clutch arm, it's going well.
Hopefully i'll see you there, fingers crossed.

Sounding like were going to have a few there!

All I got to do is:

REbuild a gearbox
Split my engine and box
Wash out my engine
New shells
Reassemble and fit new box

Then drop it in the car and run her up :S

New cam at the same time I hope aswell Alex? Be a shame not to drop an MG or phase 2 (or something) in there aswell whilst stripped down that far...

Whenever i think that i'm up against it, i just remember that Jims is still an unpainted shell, and he's going to make it!

Yeah i have to say im further forward than jim is!

Hopefully tonight i can get some progress! Then again got a house viewing at 7, looking at one with a nice big garage... need it in time for the winter rebuild.

But no time to get it setup... then again its already running a lower comp and more boost without a setup LOL

I'm a long way off, got to re asemble my shell - i cannot get the side windows in and i cracked my windscreen! doh, my engine is almost ready, once thats in i just have to impress the MOT Man...... hmmmm 2 weeks........

It's going to be close!!! but I'm not giving up yet, I started throwing mmy gearbox together last night, found I had a neadle roller bearing missing, it's a strange size too, different to a series A plus and dog box, just ordered one from Jack Knight ?35 F***king quid!

got carb rebuild done this week, cant see any leaks. so all ive gotta do this weekend is fit me quickshift, swope me dizzy over and set timing, wire me intercooler fan up, change me oil/filter, fit me intake temp guage(well to be honest its a fish tank one but looks like its going to be ideal), fit me extra gearbox steady and sort out any other mini problems that might be frone my way.

Yeah your not far wrong!! Im getting there though, got a day to have a bash at getting the crank in tomorrow and sort the engine out so fingers crossed im still on target!!
