Need some advise on setting up my crankpulley with my water pump pulley.

not sure I get you? they are meant to be in line so the belt has no angle. I would get it as tight towards the timing cover as possible, to keep good clearence between the fan and rad. |

You said to Space the water pump pulley out a tad. so would washers behind the water pump (pulley holes) be ok, which would pull the pulley out a tad.

use a ruler or something to line it up. All three things that the fan belt wrap around should be inline. If everything is inline but the crank damper you may modify something to make that go further in if possible? |

there is a standard water pump pully spacer for the job. do a wanted add somebody will have one (i havent sorry) or try minispares Edited by Carl on 2nd Dec, 2007. no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

On the minispares belt setup i fitted, the kit came with a spacer to go behind the water pump pulley to line it up. It is just a simple affair made from aluminium with central hole to go over the pump shaft and 4 notches in the outer edge that the retaining bolts pass through. |

Ideally i think you may need to use a slightly longer bolt in the end of the crank as the belt setup moves the damper/pulley out so the thread engages a little less. Top of my head its 5/8th UNF. |

I put some washers behind the holes on water pump pulley. the only way could check to make sure it was lined up.
