Why not? If it has not got the hole above the centre main it should be as good as any other block

No, In the block, directly above the main bearing housing. The hole is about 3cm x 2.5cm in the web between the base of cylinders 2&3 and the top of the main bearing housing.
If you don't want the block i will buy it from you.

Regards
Dave

yep,

use a head gasket to mark the hole and whack a pillar drill through it.

even if it does have the hole above the centre main bearing it might well e ok in a turbo motor as it will not be spinning to crazy rpm.

I'd just run a dremmel round the hole to get rid of the pointy bits and use it.

Well, it could be an Allegro /1300/ 1300GT block as well. Not easy to tell whether it's a 1275GT one.

Even if it's got 11 holes, you don't need that on you head. The gasket will seal if there's a hole to the waterpump. When this is said, it's easy enough to drill the two holes.

Bore it to 1293. The only sensible thing. If not I'll give you two A+ block, and you give me this :)
